Complete Enhanced Upper Assembly (upper receiver) BCM MK2 - 11.5" barrel, 10" M-LOK handguard
Bravo Company (USA)

  • Made in USA
    • These uppers are designed and manufactured for shooting professionals and responsible civilians to Mil-Spec military standards to meet their demands
    • The barrel is phosphated at the BCM factory before assembly; before shipment, every upper is test-fired, laser-inspected for barrel quality and sight alignment, and then several firearms from each batch are selected for a shooting accuracy test. Uppers may show signs of light use from these tests
  • Enhanced Mk2 version
    • BCM's own design offers increased strength compared to the standard USGI configuration
    • Increased rigidity reduces unwanted barrel harmonics, resulting in more consistent and accurate performance
    • Less vibration also results in reduced wear on mating surfaces
    • Another change is a relief cut at the rear of the upper in the area above the charging handle. On each side there is a small tunnel that helps redirect gases away from the shooter's face
  • M4 feed ramps on the upper and barrel extension
    • During the development of the USGI M4, one of the primary weapons of the US military, a few changes were made compared to the original M-16 platform to improve reliability with shorter barrels
    • Due to the carbine-length gas system and higher pressures, the firearm cycles faster, sometimes even faster than the magazine can feed rounds
    • The USGI modification introduces longer and more aggressive feed ramps CNC-machined into both the barrel extension and the upper, which is then finished with hard coat anodizing, providing the aluminum with high durability and strength
    • This enhancement is found on every BCM firearm
  • USGI 1:7 twist rate
    • Most infantry personnel prefer this twist rate for its versatility even with heavier .223 caliber bullets
  • Mil-Spec steel barrel
    • The barrel steel is selected to Mil-Spec standards (MIL-B-11595E) and is independently certified
    • This type of steel (CMV) used in the USGI M-16 is stronger and longer-lasting than commonly available commercial barrels
    • This is achieved by adding carbon or vanadium to the steel alloy
    • Additional benefits of the steel used include extended service life and overall performance and accuracy even under the most demanding conditions
  • Chrome-lined chamber and bore
    • One of the first modifications made to the M-16 platform in the 1960s was the addition of chrome lining to the interior of the barrel and chamber, which has since become a world standard
    • Chrome lining of the barrel and chamber is harder than steel itself and assists with chambering, extraction, and overall reliability. It increases cycling speed by reducing friction and enhances resistance to wear and corrosion. This gives you a barrel with a longer service life and less maintenance required
  • Manganese phosphate finish
    • The barrel is phosphated using a manganese phosphate finish to Mil-Spec standards (spec A-A-59267)
    • This treatment leaves fine pores on the barrel surface that absorb oil, resulting in resistance to environmental influences
    • Phosphating is applied before installation of the front sight (or gas block) to achieve maximum protection even under this component
  • Thorough testing
    • Military standards require each barrel to be tested with high pressure (HPT = High-Pressure Test), using special M197 HPT cartridges that generate pressures up to 70,000 psi (a standard .223 cartridge generates approximately 55,000 – 62,000 psi)
    • The barrel is also tested using circular and linear magnetic particle inspection (MPI = Magnetic Particle Inspected) to detect any hidden internal material defects (Mil-Spec standard ASTME1444-01)
  • Package contents
    • BCM upper assembly – upper with internal components, bolt carrier group, handguard (WITHOUT stock, buffer, buffer tube, buffer spring, or charging handle)
    • Short 3" Picatinny rail with M-LOK mounting interface
    • M-LOK QD sling attachment point
