• The Viper 8x42 HD is a very high-quality waterproof, argon-filled binocular with roof prisms, 8x magnification, 42mm objective diameter, and a field of view of 136m/1000m. The binoculars feature very high-quality optics and excellent light transmission at high magnification. They are suitable for hunting, birdwatching, and general nature observation where detail resolution is required even in poor lighting conditions, such as at dusk. They can also be used in bad weather, such as rain and frost. Very close objects can also be observed with these binoculars. The minimum focusing distance is 2m.
• The optical system includes multi-element eyepieces and objectives made from high-quality low-dispersion optical glass with high light transmission.
• The roof prisms are made from BaK₄ optical glass. The roof surface of the prisms is coated with a special reflective layer to increase brightness. The prisms have phase-correction coatings that increase contrast and image sharpness and improve viewing comfort (eyes do not tire during prolonged observation).
• All optical elements are coated with Vortex anti-reflective coatings - XR-FMC (Fully Multi Coating). These coatings improve light transmission capability and thereby noticeably increase the true brightness of the binoculars.

• The outer lens surfaces of the objectives and eyepieces are coated with the ArmorTek water-repellent coating, which prevents the formation of spots from water, insects, or resins. Thanks to this special ArmorTek coating, the optics do not require frequent cleaning, which noticeably extends the lifespan of the binoculars.
• The binocular body is rubber-armored and thanks to ergonomic features it is excellent to hold even when the binoculars are wet or icy. The eyecups are twist-up with intermediate stops. They have a rubberized surface and do not press on the eye sockets. If you wear glasses, you can leave the eyecups retracted and observe with your glasses on. Focusing is internal and controlled by a central knob. It is very precise and sensitive. An integrated diopter correction is built into the focusing unit, which allows the focus to be adjusted precisely to the observer's eyes.
• The binoculars are waterproof and argon-filled to prevent internal fogging. Argon protects the internal components of the binoculars much better against unwanted condensation than nitrogen. This extends the overall lifespan of the binoculars.
• The binoculars can also be mounted on a tripod using a tripod adapter (optional accessory).
• The binoculars are supplied complete with a case, lens caps, cleaning cloth, and strap.
