The HP30 linear compensator by Czech manufacturer Global Import Service is a muzzle device designed to suppress the flash and acoustic effects of a gunshot.

The materials used and the simple, functional design ensure ease of use and a long service life.

The HP is primarily a means of protecting the hearing of the shooter and those nearby. Due to its construction and compact dimensions, it is not a sound suppressor, but in some respects it can serve as an effective substitute. From a legal standpoint, the HP is a freely available muzzle device.

The noise of the shot and the gases escaping from the barrel are directed forward, significantly reducing their effect on the shooter and those around them. The escaping gases also partially cool down as they pass through the body of the HP, reducing their velocity at the muzzle. The result is a reduction in acoustic pressure load. Although this represents a reduction of only a few dB at the shooter's ear, the subjective perception of this effect is very noticeable and increases with distance.

The HP can be an effective tool for addressing problems associated with excessive noise in the vicinity of shooting ranges.

GIS HP linear compensators weigh approximately half as much and are roughly half the overall length of conventional suppressors designed for comparable calibers.

They are easy to clean and do not need to be removed from the barrel during cleaning. There is therefore no need for complex, dirt-prone quick-attach systems.

The HP design does not restrict the flow of gases as significantly as a sound suppressor, so the amount of gas returning back through the barrel is considerably lower.

No special tools are required to disassemble and clean the HP. A simple universal tool for HP maintenance is included in the package.

GIS HP linear compensators were developed primarily for use by armed forces to reduce acoustic pressure load during shooting, especially when firing in a team and in enclosed spaces. They also effectively mask the shooter's position by suppressing the flash and sound effects of the shot.

GIS HP linear compensators improve weapon handling during dynamic shooting and burst fire. The HP design does not restrict the flow of gases as significantly as a sound suppressor, so the amount of gas returning back through the barrel is considerably lower. They do not shift the mean point of impact as occurs when using a suppressor.

The design of the front face allows a weapon equipped with a GIS HP to be used in emergencies for breaking glass panes in windows and doors during forced entries into buildings and vehicles. It also prevents larger debris from entering the barrel.

The front face and diffuser assembly can easily be replaced with a color-coded BLANC module, with which the HP functions as an adapter for blank firing ammunition training.

GIS HP linear compensators are easy to install and maintain. They are resistant to damage and have a long service life.

They do not need to be removed from the weapon during cleaning. Only the front face with the diffuser is unscrewed. No special tools are required for disassembly and maintenance. They consist of only two parts.

They are half the length and weight of sound suppressors made from the same material.

From a legal standpoint, they are not classified as a weapon. Their storage and transportation are therefore not subject to any special rules or restrictions.
