Harris Bipod Overview
- Model series
- The S (swivel) series is equipped with a swivel joint that allows the bipod to self-level on uneven surfaces; the legs rotate around an axis parallel to the barrel axis
- The 1A2 series has no swivel joint; the legs do not rotate and do not compensate for uneven surfaces
- Heights
- BR - bipod raises the firearm by 6" - 9" (15 - 23 cm)
- L - bipod raises the firearm by 9" - 13" (23 - 33 cm)
- H - bipod raises the firearm by 13.5" - 23" (34 - 58 cm)
- 25 - bipod raises the firearm by 12" - 25" (30 - 64 cm)
- 25C - bipod raises the firearm by 13.5" - 27" (34 - 69 cm)
- Features
- M - notched legs - the inner part of each leg has notches that allow the legs to extend in preset increments; the legs are not spring-loaded in either direction, but when released from the fully compressed position they snap out to the fully extended position
- 2 - spring-loaded legs - when the lock is released from any position, the legs extend to their maximum length, allowing them to compensate for uneven surfaces
- if neither of these two designations (M or 2) is present, the legs are self-retracting - when the lock is released from any position, the legs retract inward
- P - bipod is equipped with a picatinny mount; all other bipods attach via a standard stud adapter
- CAMO - field-concealed bipod thanks to kryptek camouflage
