Harris Bipod Overview
- Model series
- The S (swivel) series features a rotating joint that allows the bipod to self-level on uneven surfaces; the legs rotate around an axis parallel to the barrel axis
- The 1A2 series does not have a rotating joint; the legs do not rotate and do not compensate for uneven surfaces
- Sizes
- BR - bipod raises the firearm by 6" - 9" (15 - 23 cm)
- L - bipod raises the firearm by 9" - 13" (23 - 33 cm)
- H - bipod raises the firearm by 13.5" - 23" (34 - 58 cm)
- 25 - bipod raises the firearm by 12" - 25" (30 - 64 cm)
- 25C - bipod raises the firearm by 13.5" - 27" (34 - 69 cm)
- Features
- M - notched - the inner part of the legs has detents that allow the legs to extend in predetermined increments; the legs are not spring-pulled inward or outward, but when released from the maximum compressed position, they snap to the maximum extended position
- 2 - spring-out legs - when the lock is released from any position, the legs extend to their maximum length, which can compensate for any unevenness of the surface
- in the absence of either of these two designations (M or 2), the legs are self-retracting - when the lock is released from any position, the legs retract inward
- P - the bipod is equipped with a Picatinny mount; all other bipods attach via a standard adapter - swivel stud
- CAMO - a bipod invisible in nature thanks to Kryptek camouflage
