The SCRS-MRS-RD solar charging rifle sight is based on the successful SCS pistol series, where this excellent HOLOSUN technology was first introduced. The sight offers ultra-compact dimensions with a 20mm tube diameter and is designed for long guns. The MRS version allows the user to switch the reticle between a 2 MOA dot and a 65 MOA circle.
The advanced solar system, combined with SCS technology, powers the sight from a rechargeable battery that is directly charged by the solar panel. The sight features an intelligent algorithm and, using directional light sensors, can recognize where you are aiming and set the ideal reticle intensity.
The SCRS model also features a new manual mode, which gives the user full control over reticle brightness.
The sight comes with a lower 1/3 co-witness high mount (1.63″) and features the HE509T footprint. Using the 509T Picatinny/Weaver adapter plate, the sight can be mounted on a rail with a low mount or any aftermarket mount with a 509T footprint.
The next-generation SOLAR FAIL-SAFE power system, first introduced with the SCS-MOS model, requires no battery for operation. The sight features an internal rechargeable battery with a long service life, which is charged by the solar panel.
The LED current draw is at the microamp level, and under normal lighting conditions the sight is powered exclusively by the solar panel. In low-light conditions, the internal battery assists with power supply.
The sight uses a sophisticated ambient light measurement system, allowing it to perfectly adapt the reticle to current conditions — even when a flashlight is in use. The SCRS model also adds manual reticle brightness control.

- Every HOLOSUN sight is equipped with control electronics with the option of manual reticle brightness adjustment.
- The sight can be turned off manually; in this case, it must be manually turned back on.

- HOLOSUN sights are compatible with night vision devices. For night vision use, the sight is equipped with 2 intensity levels that are not visible to the naked eye under normal conditions. These are the first and second brightness levels, which are NV-compatible. The SCS model sets the NV mode automatically.
- HOLOSUN sights are designed to be parallax-free. The shooter does not need to look along the optical axis when shooting, as with iron sights. This advantage offers the shooter instant readiness. Simply place the reticle on the target and pull the trigger. This advantage is especially appreciated by hunters and tactical shooters.
- The sight can withstand a shock of 1,000 G, equivalent to the 9.5×73 (.375 Weatherby) caliber.
- It is also perfectly suited for hunting and sporting calibers, including shotguns.
