JPLMB (JP Low Mass Buffer / guide system) from JP Enterprises is a component designed for AR-15 / AR-10 platforms, serving as a guide rod and carrier element for the recoil spring in the JP Low Mass / JP Silent Capture System (SCS).

Unlike a standard buffer tube and carbine buffer, the JPLMB is part of a tuned system that helps stabilize the recoil spring travel, reduce friction, and improve bolt carrier cycle consistency. It is primarily used in combination with lightweight BCGs and sport-tuned gas systems.

The entire JP low mass system concept is designed for faster cycling, reduced bolt carrier recoil impulse, and smoother trigger reset, which is characteristic of competition shooting.
