A properly torqued base is essential for accurate optic mounting – whether on a rail or directly on the receiver. Following the manufacturer's recommended torque value ensures a firm and secure scope attachment. Over-tightening scope rings is the most common cause of optic damage – most rings are steel, while the scope tube is typically aluminum. Always follow the manufacturer's exact recommendation and never damage your optic body again.

Easily tighten screws to the manufacturer's specification when mounting accessories or replacing/adjusting the stock. Proper torquing of the screws between the barrel and stock ensures safe and accurate operation.
