Detailed product description

• Durability and robustness - protects the scope from the negative effects of heavy recoil and rough handling of the weapon. A sniper rifle and a spotter's assault rifle can be fitted with the same mount, allowing the same additional equipment and accessories to be attached. The contact surfaces are knurled on the inside, which significantly improves the grip on the optics or the use of an adhesive tape underneath. The entire mount is machined from a single piece of high-quality 7075 T651 aircraft-grade aluminum.
• Scope rotation - a simple but absolutely effective mechanism helps you correctly align the scope relative to the mount. This is very important especially for shooting at distances exceeding 200 m. If the reticle is not aligned with the bore axis, significant deviations and inaccuracies occur in shooting and use of the reticle. With this system, you can align the scope during mounting easily and precisely (without the use of any levels or gyroscopes).
  
• Universal accessory attachment - Spuhr uses a highly universal accessory attachment system that allows additional accessories to be mounted directly on the optics, so the weapon's center of gravity does not shift forward, which would worsen the weapon's handling. A wide range of mounts for red dot sights, lasers, flashlights, NV / Thermal etc. is available.
• Cant - allows the shooter to mount the scope so that it is already at a certain angle to the weapon, giving them a greater elevation adjustment range that is no longer 50/50 but, depending on the correction range and cant (-X MOA), perhaps 30/70. This allows the shooter to use the optics at distances where they would otherwise have to make corrections using the reticle as well. Various cant values are available and are always visible on the side of the mount, so they are "verifiable" even without removing the mount from the weapon.
• Rings at 45 degrees - allow the shooter better control of the adjustment turrets and parallax, as they do not obstruct the view at critical points. This design also allows better attachment of additional accessories than standard mounts. Another advantage is the flat top of the mount, which also aids in quickly checking weapon cant. This is not possible with semi-circular rings.
• Accessory mounting - Spuhr has a highly universal system for attaching various accessories: ACI (ADI), backup sights, laser designators, add-on red dot sights, NV / Thermal, and because the accessories are attached directly to the scope, any removal and re-attachment is performed on a unit that therefore does not move relative to itself. The standard accessory range is very wide, but custom add-ons can also be made to the customer's (or unit's) specifications.
• Built-in level - used to check the weapon and its lateral cant, it is a very practical tool and unlike flip-up levels, you will never forget to flip it out even during rapid use, because it is always clearly visible.

BestPatron.eu personal opinion:

• At first I had fairly significant reservations about this mount regarding its 45-degree design. But my concerns proved to be unfounded. This mount hasn't been on the market for long, but it quickly became a hit.
• So far I haven't heard a single owner say one bad word about it.
• And after a conversation with its designer, where we initially had a painful time getting to the heart of the matter until our views converged :) ... I had no more doubts.
• Now I'm going to swap all my rifles to these mounts (including the offset mount on the AR-15) and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not a "tacticool" advocate who would immediately hang two kilos of unnecessary accessories on it, but I trust this mount ... so off with it to RPA Rangemaster and RPA STBY :)
